Sweet As Honey

“Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.” — Proverbs 16:24 (KJV)

Our words have great power. They can encourage or discourage, heal or hurt, build up or tear down. God calls His children to speak words that are “sweet as honey”—kind, gracious, and full of love.

Just as honey brings sweetness and nourishment, our words should bring comfort and hope to those around us. A gentle word can brighten someone’s darkest day. A simple expression of encouragement can strengthen a weary heart. When we allow the Holy Spirit to guide our speech, our conversations become a reflection of Christ’s love.

Before speaking today, pause and ask yourself: Will these words honor God? Will they bring life and encouragement to others? Let your speech be seasoned with grace, and may your words leave a sweet fragrance of God’s goodness wherever you go.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to guard my tongue and speak words that honor You. Fill my heart with Your love so that kindness, encouragement, and grace flow from my lips. Let my words be sweet as honey and bring blessing to everyone I meet. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Lay Christian Counselor and Christian Life Coach

Peg Franz

Together, these two roles create a powerful blend of healing and growth. Counseling helps address the past; coaching helps shape the future. Both rely on God’s wisdom, compassion, and guidance. A Lay Christian Counselor and Life Coach doesn’t claim to have all the answers—they simply walk beside others as God does His transforming work.

At its core, this calling is about helping people experience the fullness of Christ’s promise: healing for yesterday, strength for today, and purpose for tomorrow.
